CASE: Uncalled Sanctionable Offense

A player punched a member of the opposing team but the incident was not seen by the officials and no call resulted. The punch left the player on the ground for about 1 minute but he was able to return to the game. The offending player had previously been suspended for 1 game for a flagrant foul for striking an opponent.

RULING: 

The action was seen as warranting a flagrant foul if it had been observed by the officials. The player was given a three game suspension and required to submit a letter of apology to the player he punched.
